This is a gentle reminder that Efren Penaflorida will be in Portland this Sunday and Monday, October 31st and November 1st. Efren Penaflorida Jr. is the young Filipino who was honored as 2009 CNN Hero of the Year, for his Classroom Cart Project and Dynamic Teen Company. Since 1997, because of his example and leadership over 10,000 volunteers have taught poor children in slums, who have no access to regular schools.On Sunday, he is scheduled for a meet-and-greet at St. Clare Parish Hall, 1807 SW Freeman, Portland, OR from 3-5pm.
On Monday, EF's schedule is as follows:
1) AM -- tour of Metro Portland - including Dambana
2) 2:30-3:30pm -- address students of Fowler Middle School in Tigard, 10865 SW Walnut.
3) 4-5pm -- meet-and-greet at Room #333 at Smith Memorial Student Union Bldg at PSU.
He flies off to San Diego on Tuesday AM.
