We cordially invite you to the feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. It is celebrated every third Saturday of September. This year festivity in the Philippines will be the 300th Anniversary, click this link for detailed information, http://www.penafrancia.net/. Here in Beaverton, we will hold the celebration on September 18th, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. As a tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the festivity will start with a Living Rosary at 10:30 in the morning. Bishop Kenneth Steiner will preside the Holy Mass at 11:00. Rev. Ysrael Bien, Rev. Cary Reniva, Rev Tony Ong and Rev. Dave Gutmann will concelebrate. Several Filipino Seminarians at Mt. Angel Abbey will attend the event and will be given special blessings as they begin their new school year. Reception and Entertainment will follow in the cafeteria. The feast day is commenced by a novena, nine days of prayers, in honor of Our Lady. On the first day, the novena will be prayed at home and the Image of our Lady will go from house to house until the completion of the ninth day.
