Ken Canedo's New Book - Keeping the Fire Burning

Ken Canedo, our multi talented national artist is not only a well known composer in the catholic church but a wonderful author as well. As you remember, his last CD's titled "DOXOLOGY" to honor the most Holy Trinity was released last winter and the Oregonian Newspaper covered a wonderful story of Ken's love for music. Recently, he has just published a new book, Keeping the Fire Burning, about the development and history of the Folk Mass music in the 60s and 70s. It is enjoyable to read. It brought back many memories of the liturgical changes after Vatican II and the music that evolved during that time. You can order a copy by going to Ken’s website: http://www.kencanedo.com/. Ken will be busy this summer touring in different states to promote his new book. However since he is the residence accompanist at Holy Trinity Parish, Ken will be doing a book signing on Sunday, July 12 after each of the morning masses (8, 9:30 and 11:15) and will also have his CDs available. On Wednesday, July 29 Holy Trinity is hosting a presentation by Ken based on his book followed by a joyous sing-a-long of many of the old Folk Mass songs. All are welcome to participate in this event! Kindly click http://h-t.org/ for directions.
We are truly proud of Ken's accomplishments and grateful for his service to the Filipino Community. We have been blessed by sharing his gift of music and writing.
