On Wed, July 29, at 7:00pm, at HOLY TRINITY PARISH IN BEAVERTON, our own Ken Canedo will give a special presentation. He will share the story behind his just-published book, “Keep the Fire Burning,” a compelling history of the Folk Mass, the 1960s movement that brought the sound of American folk music to the Roman Catholic liturgy.
There will also be a singalong of the music of Ray Repp, Paul Quinlan, the Dameans, and many other classic Folk Mass composers. Ken’s book was very well received in Chicago at the National Pastoral Musicians convention and this event will allow our parish to relive the fun and excitement of those times. Other parishes on the West Side have been invited. Join us!
