SF Consular On Wheels During CFAA Convention on 8/13-14/2010

The San Francisco Philippine Consulate, Office of the Consul General publicly announced that a reaching-out program known as Consular On Wheels to assist Filipino Americans who wish to apply for dual citizenship, renew or apply for a new passport, and, would avail of any consular services, such as, notarization, filing of affidavits and other legal services, shall be at the River Valley Inn, Eugene, Oregon from August 13-14, 2010.
This event would also include travel and tourism in the Philippines to be introduced by a Representative of the Department of Tourism.And, a five-member staff would assist and help in the processing of applications, and, legal services headed by Consul General Marciano Paynor, Jr. For those who would be applying or renewing Philippine passport, the requirements are: NSO certified birth record or the old passport, 2 x 2 photos(2 pcs.) with royal blue background, application form(which could be downloaded from the SF website, or filing at the site) and other supporting documents to identify the applicant. For dual citizenship the requirements are: Certificate of Naturalization, a US passport, 2 x 2 photo ID(2 pcs.) with royal blue background, NSO certified birth certificate, or Marriage Certificate showing that one of the parents of the applicant is a Filipino. All fees will be known at the site, or please see SF Phil. Consulate's website. As for the latter, the mass oath-taking will be on the night of August 14. Others who wish to personally have one may avail on a case-to-case basis. This event coincides with the convention of the Council of Filipino American Association which will be on August 14. The convention will hold a meeting of all affiliate members and will feature Philippines Cuisine Cooking Lessons, Phillippine Dances, Conflict Management and etc..Registration for this affair is $25 person; $45 for registration and lunch; and, $60 for lunch-dinner-dance, featuring the Manila's Band.
